"Having stayed at Mauna Kai unit #8 twice in 2002, I was so pleased with my experience that I will be taking a group of friends there in 2004. It's such a roomy, sunlit condo.....

Welcome to Mauna Kai # 8. Here are some photos and information to a better idea of your home away from home while visiting the beautiful Garden Isle of Kaua'i.

Mauna Kai #8 is located on the north shore of Kaua’i in the community of Princeville. The condo is two stories, with just under 1500 square feet. It is part of a condominium complex which is right next to a world class golf course, and walking distance from a number of other attractions.

	This is the start of the tour of the condo. This photo shows the entrance to the condo. The complex is covered with beautifully maintained flora, including exotic flowers and banana trees.
	The living room is a large space, with vaulted ceilings. The cathedral windows allow for generous amounts of sunlight to bathe the living area. The tropical ambience is enhanced by the elephant bamboo furniture and the foliage themed décor. The entertainment center includes a stereo, DVD player, and a 21 inch color TV with cable. For those who wish to stay connected to the rest of the world, we offer free wireless internet access, as well as the use of a Sony Playstation (with games). SEE THE NEWLY TILED FLOOR!!
	The dining area is a wonderful area for a nice refreshing breakfast, or a full multi course dinner. The table can accommodate six people for any meal of the day. With a solid elephant bamboo frame and matching chairs, you will be able to enjoy your meals in tropical comfort. Large windows near the table allow for lots of light, and wonderful garden views. Watch the tropical birds have their meals, as you enjoy yours.
	The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator (with freezer), stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal and coffee maker. There are enough place settings for eight people, pots and pans for cooking, cooking and eating utensils, and everything else you would need to feel at home in the kitchen.
	The master suite is downstairs, with the entrance next to the kitchen. There is a large storage closet in the entry hallway to the master suite. You will find beach chairs, and other fun stuff to make your stay more comfortable in this closet. Across that hallway is where the laundry center is. The washer and dryer are great for making sure everyone has clean, dry towels for tomorrow’s day at the beach. As you pass through this hallway, you enter the master bedroom. This room has a queen size bed, and a tall dresser and nightstands on both sides of the bed. There is another closet here in the room that will accommodate all of your clothes. There is a full bathroom attached to this bedroom.
	Upstairs, there are two ample bedrooms. One has a king bed, and the other has two twin beds. Both have full size closets and dressers for storage. There is another full bathroom upstairs right outside of both of the bedrooms. This is one of the two bedrooms.
	There is a large loft upstairs. On the loft, there is a queen size sofa/futon that simply folds out into a flat futon bed. The loft overlooks the dining area and has plenty of space to relax.
	The lanai is a beautiful little outdoor enclave. Shaded by a large banana tree, this is a great place to enjoy a snack, or just kick back and read a book in some fresh air.
	The pool area boasts one of the largest pools on the north shore of Kaua’i. This gated area has plenty of lounging chairs, and the pool is great for all ages, since it goes from 3 feet in the shallow end to 9 feet in the deep end. There is also a large pavilion, with a picnic area, including a BBQ grill, sink, and tables with benches so that you can cook up that fish you caught on your deep sea fishing trip!
